The final 2022 release from Quarry is the fantastic ‘Everybody Wants Somebody’. It’s a vocal-forward electronic cut, with distant, reverb-soaked synth textures lurking in the background and punchy snare drums filling the space between. The instantly memorable chorus is one of his biggest yet. “I see it more as a song about self-growth,” he explains. “Life happens, and you have to grow. If you can love someone, love yourself. Everything else comes and goes, and it can be beautiful.” Quarry is on tour with Milky Chance for the rest of 2022, and is gearing up for an equally huge 2023. -Dan Peeke.
